Monday was Stephen’s 1st attempt at making Pan Dulce. The recipe looked hard (to me, at least), and involved lots of kneading, yeast rising, and waiting around. So, I waited around with Lara all night while Stephen worked his culinary magic in the kitchen. At 2300, the breads were out of the oven but, they did not meet Stephen’s rigorous standards. I ate one with milk and gave it a 6.5/10 (They tasted like Hawaiian Sweet Rolls).
Once we decided that he would try again next week, I headed for the breads with my camera. Stephen jumped in front of me..
SFP: What are you doing?
DP: Taking a picture for my blog!
SFP: You are not going to blog about my pan dulce.
DP: Yes I am.
SFP: If you take a picture, I will throw them all away!
DP: Threat or promise?
I was able to sneak a picture in and immediately sent it to my work e-mail so that he wouldn’t get a chance to erase it.
You can’t win ’em all, Hot Dog. I still love you. Also, please make me some Lemon Bars and Red Velvet cake this weekend!
