A few days later..

…and I’m still excited. And, how nice is the pic? You can’t fake that kind of love & happiness! She’s still young, maybe she can be the first First Lady to be pregnant in the White House.

OMG. : )

One of my favorite things about the Inauguration ceremonies is the inclusion of Christian based traditions. Separation of Church & State does not have to mean god-less and Atheistic in nature. It’s important to remember that this country was based on Christian values and flight from wrongful persecution on behalf of the Catholic Church.

Especially poignant was the use of Abraham Lincoln’s Bible to swear in President Obama (Wow. Prez Obama. That sounds great). Lincoln lived a life based strongly on his Faith. He said this in his first inaugural address:

“Intelligence, patriotism, Christianity, and a firm reliance on Him, who has never yet forsaken His favored land, are still competent to adjust, in the best way, all our present difficulty”.

It’s a little scary how well those words apply to the current state of the country.

Stephen & I were talking about the chaos surrounding the financial world. It seems to be coming at us from all sides. We both mentioned the different feelings associated with NOT being affected AT ALL.

Relief.
Wary.
Guilt.
Joy.
Thankful.

Stephen & I can just continue to do what we have done up to this point (and has worked VERY, VERY well), put all of our trust in Jesus.

I will end this post with some TOP SECRET info. Stephen is on the verge of debuting his blog! A week ago, we were talking about what a nice creative outlet blogging is. We threw some ideas around and he’s about to come over to the dark side (Muuuahahahahahah). Stand by for the link, as he should be piecing it together right now. Unless, he’s too busy playing with Lara. Or, bathing her. Then, the blog can wait until tomorrow. šŸ™‚
